Top is a short film that will screen at festivals and serve as proof of concept for a feature film of the same title.

Logline: Matt Levit's reality is turned upside down on the day of his gender affirming top surgery. When Matt's past intertwines with his present, he is forced to reckon with long buried demons.

Seeking:
MATT LEVIT: (seeking transgender man)
Male, Jewish transgender man post testosterone transition, looks 30s-early 40s, an ex actor. An introspective man who is dealing with the sudden death of his mother while near the end of his top surgery journey.

KIMBERLY LEVIT: (seeking gender expansive, trans, or non-binary person)
Able to look the age range of 18-30s (we follow this character through time). Matt Levit pre-transition. Stubborn and angsty. Steadfast in the search for their true self. Must be OK with a chest binding moment and kissing volleyball guy (intimacy coordinator and closed set provided).

LEISHA MEYER: Female, looks 30 something, producer in advertising, and Matt’s girlfriend. Lighthearted and fun. She can bring the party to any moment. A supportive partner and loyal friend who isn’t afraid to get silly.

NANCY LEVIT: Female, Able to look the age range of 40s-60’s (we follow this character through time), Jewish mother of two. Matt’s mom. Protective of her children and family. Stubborn, outspoken, and nurturing.

NURSE: Any gender, looks any age 25-55. A nurse at a major hospital just getting through the day.

BETH: Female, looks 18 (18+ only). Up for anything. Queer but doesn’t know it yet. Best friend of Kimberly. Must be OK wearing a bathing suit for a beach scene.

DESK WORKER: Any gender, looks any age 25-55. Front desk worker at a major hospital. Has seen it all, takes no nonsense, and won’t expend energy if they don’t need to.

VOLLEYBALL GUY: Male, looks 18 (18+ only). A dude playing volleyball at the beach with his friend. Must be OK with wearing only swim trunks for a beach scene, kissing Kimberly, and having chest touched by Kimberly (intimacy coordinator and closed set provided).
